Ben&Ben is celebrating the first anniversary of its concept album The Traveller Across Dimensions with new album tie-in materials and merchandise designed to bring the project to life.
The award-winning album, honored as the 2025 Awit Awards Album of the Year, was released on Nov. 29, 2024.
It produced several hits, including “Autumn,” “Could Be Something,” and “Triumph,” which won Best Performance by a Group Artist at the same awards program.
The band staged the first TTAD concert on Dec. 14, 2024, performing to a sold-out crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The show combined live music and animation to tell the story of Liwanag, the album’s central character.
The TTAD concert has since toured several cities, including Cebu City, Bacolod City, Baguio City, Davao City, and Cagayan de Oro City.
The final stop for the year is scheduled in Iloilo City on Dec. 7.
To reach a wider audience, the band released an e-book companion last month that expands on Liwanag’s story.
Liwanag is part of a race of inter-dimensional beings called Travellers, whose mission is to reach the Duyan Dimension—a realm where Travellers achieve perpetual inner peace.
In her journey, Liwanag navigates three Dimensions: Light, representing innocence; Energy, representing struggle; and Feel, representing maturity.
She writes 12 songs that correspond to her experiences in each Dimension.
Throughout her journey, she seeks to answer the fundamental question: “How must we live?”
After trials, discoveries, and moments of clarity, she eventually arrives at the Duyan Dimension, fulfilling her quest.
The 12 tracks on the TTAD album mirror the real-life growth of the band members as individuals, storytellers, and musicians.
While the songs outline the narrative, the companion e-book adds depth to the lore.
To further immerse listeners in the TTAD universe, the band launched the Traveller Plush Series, featuring Liwanag, Mahiwaga, Puhon, and Dilim.
The plush line serves as an advocacy-driven collection inspired by the TTAD message of being “present with love.”
“In the story of The Traveller Across Dimensions, to be ‘present with love’ is what is generally known as mindfulness, or being aware of our thoughts and emotions, and responding to the present moment with love and kindness,” Ben&Ben said.
“As you listen to the songs in the album and read the e-book to get a more detailed story about the Traveller, you will be taken on a journey through the three dimensions to discover what it means to be present with love.”
The band encouraged fans to continue exploring the TTAD universe and to practice being “present with love.”
The TTAD story is available at thetravelleracrossdimensions.com/story.
