And it’s a done deal. Bella Belen will officially wear the yellow and blue threads of the Capital1 Solar Spikers once the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) kicks off.
On July 16, 2025, the No. 1 overall lottery pick during the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft signed a multi-year deal with the growing franchise, during a welcome ceremony graced by team owners Milka and Mandy Romero.
The event was made public after her talent agency, VMGAsia, shared snippets of the ceremony on their official social media pages.
The Solar Spikers’ social media team also documented Belen’s signing, posting a video of her finalizing the paperwork on Instagram story.
However, it remains to be seen whether Belen can immediately boost Capital1 in the upcoming PVL conference due to her busy schedule with the Alas Pilipinas Women’s National Volleyball Team.
Belen and the rest of the national team pool are set to undergo intensive training in the next months in preparation for their next international tournament scheduled this October.
According to multiple reports, the PVL and Alas reached a ‘loaning’ agreement, which means that the professional league allowed its players to commit to the national team before joining their mother franchises.
As of now, Belen is fully committed to Alas Pilipinas, the same as her teammates who will also be unable to reinforce their teams if a conflict in schedule takes place.
Belen’s situation is identical to Jia Morado-De Guzman, the team’s prized setter, who earlier announced her return to the Creamline Cool Smashers after her stint in Japan.
Although she already confirmed her reunion with her first PVL mother team, the experienced playmaker didn’t specify if when she will render her services to head coach Sherwin Meneses due to her commitment with the national team.
