Filipino Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon is excited to go back in the ONE Championship ring and is looking for his first victory since MMA’s stoppage last March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hungry for a shot in getting that ONE Bantamweight World Championship belt, Belingon is oozing with confidence as he is fresh off his training camp in preparation for his bout against top striker John “Hands of Stone” Lineker.
“Ever since John Lineker signed with ONE, all I’ve been hearing and reading from the fans is Belingon vs. Lineker. Now it’s finally here and I’m excited for it. Expect fireworks, expect it to be a good one,” said the Filipino slugger.
Today, Belingon will seek to trade blows and prove to the MMA fans who is the better striker between him and Lineker, an ongoing debate after the Brazilian’s debut in ONE.
The Filipino recognized Lineker’s hitting power and skills which he even praised but when the bell rings, Belingon said he will do everything for the victory.
“One look and it’s easy to see that we’re both hard-hitters, and that’s the reason why this matchup is so exciting. It will be very interesting given our styles, and I plan to keep it that way. At the end of the day, I hope to get my hands raised,” Belingon added.
The Belingon-Lineker bantamweight showdown will be the main event in ONE: Inside The Matrix III and will be aired on One Sports and One Sports+.
