Christmas shines through acts of kindness, generosity, and bayanihan.
As part of its annual Handog Sa ’Yo ng BDO Foundation Christmas gift-giving initiative, BDO Foundation distributed noche buena gift packs to 50,000 families nationwide.
The corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank partnered with non-governmental organizations Ako ang Saklay, Ako Bakwit, Caritas Philippines, and Tanging Yaman Foundation to carry out the project.
BDO employee volunteers spearheaded the distribution efforts, which reached 90 parishes and dioceses across the country.
“Our goal with the Handog Sa ‘Yo program is to support families in various communities celebrate a brighter Christmas through our simple and humble contribution,” BDO Foundation President Mario Deriquito said.
Over 500 volunteers from BDO branches and head offices nationwide joined the effort, distributing noche buena packs filled with holiday food items for families to enjoy during their gatherings.
