BACOLOD CITY — Police arrested a 33-year-old tricycle driver from Barangay Villamonte here for possession of suspected shabu worth PHP 374,000 during a buy-bust operation in Purok Rose, Barangay 9 on Monday.
The suspect, identified by his alias “Dex,” was tagged as a high-value individual by authorities.
According to the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO–NIR), the operation stemmed from reports that the suspect was actively involved in the illegal drug trade.
Police said the suspect allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer during the operation.
Recovered from the suspect were 55 grams of suspected shabu, marked money, and boodle money.
He is now detained at Police Station 2.
