BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized about 139.604 grams of illegal drugs worth P949,313.32 in various police operations here from Oct 1 to 31, 2021.
Based on the data from the BCPO, 43 police operations were conducted which resulted in the arrest of 58 street-level drug personalities, one high-value individual, and a minor.
A total of 67 cases were filed in court for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In the campaign against wanted persons, the BCPO arrested 11 most wanted persons and 42 other wanted persons charged with various offenses, and conducted 53 police operations.
In the campaign against loose firearms, 21 operations were conducted resulting in the arrest of four violators and confiscation of three homemade firearms and one small firearm.
In the continuous information drive of Oplan Katok on Annual Verification of Firearms, three firearms were deposited and 11 home-made and seven explosives were surrendered to the city police force.
For illegal gambling, BCPO conducted 14 operations, with 47 individuals arrested, and 14 cases were filed in court.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested in a buy-bust in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect as Jumer Borce, 45, of the said village, who is said to be a street level individual.
Recovered from him were six grams of suspected shabu worth P42,000, P300, the P500 marked money, and P1,500 boodle money.
