BACOLOD City – 71 more police officers from Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 were deployed to the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for the holidays.
Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, BCPO public information officer, said the augmentation personnel were those who finished their public safety basic recruit course at the
Regional Training Center in Barangay Mansilingan here.
Pico said they are currently under quarantine, pending the results of their swab tests.
The additional officers will be distributed to the 10 police stations and help secure the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
Pico said these police officers will undergo basic internal security operations after their BCPO assignment this month.
The BCPO has initially deployed 200 police officers for the holidays, considering that Simbang Gabi has started yesterday and the curfew hours was shortened.
Pico said the tasks of the augmentation personnel will depend on the directive of Colonel Manuel Placido, BCPO director.
