BACOLOD City – Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 commended the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for their efforts in addressing the problem of illegal drugs here.
“They are doing well,” Villaflor said, adding that the city police force is aggressive in the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Maraming nagsasabi na nagproliferate daw. Hindi ibig sabihin na dumadami kapag may malaking recoveries. Masisipag lang ang mga police,” Villaflor said.
Villaflor said the illegal drugs here is much lesser compared to the drug situation in some parts of the country.
“Parang law of supply and demand lang iyan eh,” he added.
Villaflor said that police continue to run after big drug personalities, but they cannot reveal any solid analysis about their whereabouts.
“Nag-iisip din iyan eh, tao rin iyan. Puwedeng mag lie-low, lilipat sa ibang lugar. Puwedeng papahinga muna,” Villaflor said.
But, he assured that police are on guard on them.
A total of 1920.52 grams of illegal drugs worth P13,059,536 were seized here from April 18 to June 18 under the stint of Police Colonel Noel Aliño, BCPO director, based on police records.
