The Basilan Steel will have to go to battle without their main gunner Allyn Bulanadi as he is still undergoing recovery from his shoulder injury.
One of the most creative scorers the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) has ever seen suffered his shoulder injury when he was still practicing with Gilas last year.
Bulanadi was supposed to represent the Philippines last FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers but was dropped out of the roster after the incident.
Now, with his shoulder still not at 100%, the former San Sebastian superstar confirmed that he won’t be traveling with the team to Subic where the MPBL will stage their bubble.
Without Bulanadi, the Basilan squad will have to face the tough Davao Occidental Tigers undermanned.
The likes of Jay Collado, Hesed Gabo, Irven Palencia, Philip Manalang, and Bobby Balucanag will have to bring their A-game if they want to advance to the finals.
Davao’s Bonbon Custodio, Mark Yee, Emman Calo, and James Forrester will spearhead their quest for another MPBL finals trip.
