BACOLOD CITY – The family of a 50-year-old barber was clueless about the motive behind his killing kn in Barangay Vista Alegre here on Sunday, as they sought justice for his death.
Investigation showed that while the victim was providing a haircut service to a customer inside his residence, an unidentified person suddenly entered the house and shot him.
The gunman then fled, along with an unidentified companion on a motorcycle.
Police Capt. Jay-r Reyes, head of Police Station 7, said that a stabbing incident happened in the area, prior to the shooting but was not officially reported to the authorities.
He said they are probing if this could be linked to the said gun attack. “For now, the case is under investigation,” Reyes added.
The victim’s wife, in a media interview, said that she could not think of any person or anything that may have grudges or could trigger the attack.
“Sakit sakit gid ya. Wala ko na anad na wala na siya kay pirmi kami updanay. Bigla bigla lang siya na madula sa amon,”she said.
“Ano bala ang sala niya para amhon gid na nila?,” she asked.
The victim’s wife said that her husband decided to go home early as he was expecting more customers in preparation for the class opening on Monday.
She said that the victim was doing a haircut on a student, who felt nervous when the attack happened.
