ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A barber was arrested in a buy-bust operation early Monday, April 7, in Barangay Agbalo, Panay, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect only by the alias “Dodoy,” 46, a resident of the area.
Authorities classified the suspect as a high-value individual and said he had been under police monitoring before the operation.
Investigators said a police poseur-buyer purchased a sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect for PHP 6,000.
Police said the marked money included one PHP 500 bill, while the remaining amount consisted of boodle money.
Authorities also recovered a cellphone, a black sling bag, and six large sachets of suspected shabu weighing 120 grams with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 816,000.
The operation was conducted by joint personnel from the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group and the Panay Municipal Police Station led by Capt. Eric Deocampo, Panay police chief.
The suspect is under the custody of the Panay Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
