BACOLOD City – Mayor Nicolas Yulo of Bago City, Negros Occidental congratulated two local boxers for winning gold medals in their respective event in the Southeast Asian Games.
“On behalf of the people of Bago, I am congratulating our kasimanwas – Rogen Ladon and James Palicte– for winning gold medals in their respective boxing events at the ongoing 30th South East Asian Games,” Yulo said in a statement published in the City Bridge, the official publication of the city government.
“Their exemplary performance which resulted to their victory is an honor to the country in general and to their hometown, Bago City in particular,”Yulo added.
“Moreover, their gold medals will give encouragement to the many young aspiring boxers especially in Bago city. It will also inspire us to increase our commitment to continue to support our grassroots boxing program. ”
Yulo said that a hero’s welcome and cash incentives await the two pugs.
