BACOLOD City – The most wanted person of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was arrested at Barangay Banago here last Saturday.
The intelligence section of BCPO served the arrest warrant for murder against Joe John Villar, 32, of Sitio Sibucao, Barangay Banago here.
The warrant with no bail was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 54 Judge Eduardo Sayson on December 28, 2018.
Police Colonel Henry Biñas, BCPO director, said Villar’s murder case was committed several years ago.
He (Villar) was also involved in illegal drugs, Biñas said.
His name started floating, following the death of Leoner Jalandoon, an alleged leader of a drug syndicate in Negros Occidental and level three high value target in Western Visayas, who was killed in a drug bust in Victorias City, last April 28.
Biñas said they received reports that Villar is allegedly planning to replace Jalandoon in the illegal drug trade at Banago village.
Villar was an alleged drug courier who also supplies drugs here, he added.
“Danlog gid na siya abi, amu na dugay man na sya ginmonitor,” Biñas said.
Villar is detained at Police Station 3.
