BACOLOD City – Bacolod City Rep. Greg Gasataya said the Department of Health (DOH) informed him that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has included in the 2022 National Expenditure program the budget for the Bacolod General Hospital.
Gasataya said he requested the budget from DOH Secretary Francisco Duque last week.
Gasataya authored the bill for the creation of the hospital in the House while the Senate counterpart bill was sponsored by Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.
President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11564, an act establishing the Bacolod City General Hospital and appropriating funds for it, at Malacañang Palace on June 24.
An initial P600 million was allocated for the hospital.
