On Oct. 2, a 48-year-old man identified as alias “Mak” was arrested in Barangay Bata after police seized 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 544,000.
According to a report from the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), the suspect was listed by the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) subjected the suspect to two weeks of monitoring and validation before conducting the operation.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man identified as alias “Lau” of Barangay Cabug was arrested in Barangay 39 on Monday after police seized 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 340,000.
Lau is detained at Police Station 1 while facing charges under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
