BACOLOD CITY – The City Tourism Office announced Tuesday that the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival 2025 generated approximately PHP2.4 million in revenue from May 21 to 25.
This year’s five-day earnings surpassed the 2023 and 2024 revenues of PHP1.9 million and PHP1.8 million, respectively, despite intermittent rains during the event.
Themed “Fire and Fusion,” the festival highlighted Bacolod’s world-famous chicken inasal through vibrant activities held at The Upper East by Megaworld, SM City Manokan Country and Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
As part of its community tradition, the festival provided meals and chicken inasal to 500 beneficiaries from institutions including St. Vincent’s Home for the Aged, St. Ezekiel Monastery, Bacolod Girls and Boys Home, Social Development Center and Holy Family Home.
Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ma. Teresa Manalili vowed to grow the event further in the coming years and expressed hope for stronger stakeholder support.
“The festival is a celebration of our identity and pride,” she said.
Despite weather challenges, the City Tourism Office hailed the event as a success for boosting tourism, supporting local businesses and uniting the community in a colorful and flavorful celebration.
The fifth edition of the BCIF was led by the city government in partnership with Headrush Events, headed by Ryan Saez.
