BACOLOD CITY – Two friends were arrested in a buy-bust operation that allegedly yielded 67 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP455,600 at Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport, here Saturday.
The suspects were identified as alias “Boi,” 32, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, and his companion alias “Marlon,” 38, a native of Zamboanga City.
Police Capt. Genus David, assistant chief of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said Marlon had recently arrived in Bacolod City to look for work and was caught inside Boi’s house during the operation.
David alleged that Marlon was a customer of Boi in the illegal drug trade.
He also noted that Boi had been arrested twice for drug offenses but was able to avail of a plea bargain and had served his sentence.
Both suspects are currently detained at Police Station 8.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to illegal drugs to the nearest police station.
