BACOLOD CITY — Police arrested a street-level individual and seized more or less 25 grams of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on April 28, 2026, in Purok Boulevard, Barangay 14, Bacolod City, the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region said.
The confiscated suspected shabu had an estimated Standard Drug Price of PHP 170,000.00.
The suspect was identified as alias “Bojo,” 43, male, single, unemployed, and a resident of Purok Boulevard, Barangay 14, Bacolod City.
Police said the operation was carried out by Police Station 1 of the Bacolod City Police Office, with support from the City Intelligence Unit.
The operation stemmed from information that the suspect had allegedly been actively engaged in the sale of illegal drugs in Barangay 14 and neighboring barangays.
Police said the transaction was facilitated with the assistance of a confidential informant.
The suspect was arrested after the alleged illegal sale was consummated.
Recovered during the operation were one sachet of suspected shabu as the buy-bust item and four additional sachets of suspected shabu allegedly from the suspect’s possession.
Police also recovered one coin purse and one PHP 500 bill used as buy-bust money.
PRO NIR said all confiscated items were properly marked, inventoried, and documented at the place of operation in adherence to established procedures.
Police said the suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights in a language and manner he clearly understood.
A separate photo release, Ctrl No. RPIO2026-04-29-380, showed a Police Station 1 intelligence operative conducting an inventory of the seized evidence in the presence of the suspect and witnesses.
Another photo release, Ctrl No. RPIO2026-04-29-381, stated that the suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights and the provisions of anti-torture law in a language he fully understood.
The suspect is under the custody of Police Station 1.
