Bacolod buy-bust nets P408k in suspected shabu
BACOLOD CITY – Police apprehended on Thursday a former call center agent together with an associate and seized 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at P408,000 at Bangga Yap, Barangay Singcang-Airport. The suspects have been identified as Charisse Nicole Ledesma, 38, of Barangay 24, and Remus Cabiles, 45, of Barangay Taculing.

BACOLOD CITY – Police apprehended on Thursday a former call center agent together with an associate and seized 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at P408,000 at Bangga Yap, Barangay Singcang-Airport.
The suspects have been identified as Charisse Nicole Ledesma, 38, of Barangay 24, and Remus Cabiles, 45, of Barangay Taculing.
“Following her recent release from jail on a drug offense, Ledesma had been under surveillance,” disclosed Police Major Eugene Tolentino, the chief of Police Station 8.
The arrest took a dramatic turn as Ledesma and Cabiles tried to evade the police officers but were later apprehended.
The source of the narcotics remains undisclosed, with Tolentino noting that both individuals are considered high-value targets by the police.
Legal proceedings are underway as police ready drug-related charges for the suspects’ inquest, Tolentino reported.
