An autopsy report has confirmed earlier assumption that the couple who was found dead in Pototan, Iloilo succumbed to electrocution.
This, Lieutenant Colonel Joe Martin Fuentes, PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office 6 (RCLO-6) medico-legal officer, confirmed following the post-mortem examination on the bodies of Sherwin Ticzon, 43, and his wife, Christy Ticzon, 39.
The couple was found dead outside their home at Barangay Batuan, Pototan, Iloilo morning of April 27, 2021.
Even Staff Sergeant Amando Caporal, Pototan police chief, had earlier said that the couple may have died of electrocution.
He theorized that Sherwin may have touched an improvised clothesline made of aluminum wire that got tangled with a livewire.
Christy also died while trying to save her husband.
It can be noted that Sherwin’s younger brother, Aljohn, discovered the bodies around 8:45 p.m. of Tuesday.
The couple was lying on the ground next to a cyclone wire, which served as their abode’s fence.
The couple worked at the Iloilo Electric Cooperative 2 (ILECO 2). Christy was employed as a cashier based in Passi City while her husband is a driver assigned at the Pototan sub-station.
There were no superficial injuries found on the couple, although blood flowed out their ears and nose.
