ROXAS CITY, Capiz— All locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) in Capiz who are asymptomatic or have no symptoms of any ailment are exempted from RT-PCR testing for COVID-19.
This was confirmed by Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco, Hospital Management Services (HMS) chief, in a media interview on Wednesday.
But Nolasco clarified that LSIs and ROFs will undergo strict 14-day quarantine at quarantine facilities designated by the local government units (LGU’s).
Nolasco foresees the operations of the province’s RT-PCR testing laboratory at Brgy Lanot to be easier and more comfortable.
Aside from the LSIs and ROFs, all high-risk contacts with no symptoms will no longer undergo swab test but must still observe the 14-day quarantine.
The guidelines were issued by the Department of Health (DOH) in December 2020.
