ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police served a warrant of arrest for illegal drug trade to an inmate of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station Thursday afternoon.
Sulpicio Devera, 51, of Panitan town received the warrant inside the jail.
Devera was arrested last month in a separate drug buy-bust operation conducted by Pontevedra Municipal Police Station in Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Last week, Devera was charged anew for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after the seizure of 6 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams valued at P170,000, P3,500 marked money, a motorcycle, and several drug paraphernalia.
He is also facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9516 or Illegal Possession of Explosives after a caliber. 45 caliber was recovered from him.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of Branch 16 on August 9, 2023.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
He is presently in the custody of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
