An inmate found himself in deeper quandary after he was indicted for another case.
Police served an arrest warrant for murder against Mario Castillo, a resident of Barangay Malandayun, Malinao, Aklan, at the Aklan Rehabilitation Center at Barangay Nalook, Kalibo, morning of April 14.
Castillo was charged for murder in Criminal Case No. 15746 now pending in the sala of Judge Joebil Delmoro of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 2 in Kalibo, Aklan.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
The suspect was accused of killing former Sangguniang Bayan member John Rondario of Malinao town.
Castillo was detained after he was arrested for allegedly possessing a grenade, gun, and other weapons on March 18, 2020.
Rondario was shot to death by two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay San Roque, Malinao on Jan. 25, 2020.
Rondario was driving a motorcycle from a friend’s house when he was waylaid.
