Antique’s top 5 most wanted arrested in Hamtic

Police arrested Antique’s fifth most wanted person, a jobless woman facing four counts of qualified theft, during an operation in Poblacion 2, Hamtic, Antique on August 18.
Authorities identified the suspect only by her alias “May,” 47 years old, and a resident of Hamtic.
She was arrested at 3:30 p.m. by elements of the Hamtic Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The operation was carried out by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on the same day by a court in San Jose, Antique.
The warrant set bail at PHP 40,000 for each of the four cases.
Police said the suspect is now under the custody of Hamtic MPS for proper disposition before being turned over to the issuing court.
Qualified theft is a serious offense under the Revised Penal Code, typically involving misappropriation of property under circumstances that aggravate liability, such as betrayal of trust.
Authorities in Antique have intensified operations against wanted persons as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen law enforcement in the province.
