Antique’s ‘Supremo’, four others nabbed in P510K Valentine’s Day drug sting

A regional watch-listed personality of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Western Visayas and four alleged cohorts were arrested in an anti-narcotics operation shortly before midnight Feb. 14.
Authorities identified the suspects as alias Jesan, 30; alias Manman, 19; alias Love, 30; alias Brank, 25; and alias Jeric, 28.
All five are residents of Barangay Bari, Sibalom town in Antique.
Investigators said Jesan, known by the moniker “Supremo,” was the target of the operation.
Reports said he is a scion of a known political family in the province.
PDEA-6 categorized the suspects as high-value individuals.
PDEA operatives, together with the San Jose Municipal Police Station and the Antique Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, arrested the suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Funda Dalipe, San Jose, at about 11:52 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities said the suspects allegedly conspired to sell a sachet of suspected shabu for PHP 12,500.
Operatives also seized 10 more sachets of suspected shabu, three mobile phones, PHP 2,450 in cash, a Toyota Altis sedan, a Yamaha motorcycle, and other drug and non-drug items.
The seized suspected illegal drugs weighed about 75 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 510,000.
The suspects are detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
