One of the most wanted persons in Antique province was arrested while in hiding hundreds of kilometers away from where he allegedly committed murder.
Alias “Bolit” Pilarca, 43, was apprehended at his residence in Purok 6B, Barangay Poblacion, Antipas, Cotabato at around 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 25.
Operatives from the Culasi Municipal Police Station, along with personnel from the Antipas Municipal Police Station, the Antique Police Provincial Office–Provincial Intelligence Team, and the Regional Intelligence Unit, served the arrest warrant for murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued by the 6th Regional Trial Court, Branch 13, in Culasi, Antique. No bail was recommended for Pilarca’s provisional release.
Authorities confirmed that Pilarca was listed as the Top 4 most wanted person in Antique province.
Reports said the suspect did not resist arrest and peacefully went with the arresting team.
He is currently in the custody of the Culasi Municipal Police Station and will be turned over to the court that issued the warrant.
