Another school in Roxas City, Capiz was allegedly robbed by still unidentified suspects.
Authorities of Bago National High School in Barangay Bago discovered the incident around 7 a.m. of December 27.
School principal Ma. Viczie Tubongbanua told police investigators that the suspects barged into her office by destroying the glass door. They then took a Dell laptop worth P30,000.
The suspects then entered the school canteen and stole around P2,000 in coins.
Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Roxas City police chief, suspected that the robbery may have been perpetrated by minors.
“They could have taken other valuable items at the canteen but instead took the cash,” he said.
Paloma said the suspects could have been different from the ones who burglarized the Don Canuto Fuentes Integrated School in Barangay Sibaguan, Roxas City almost two weeks ago.
The school also lost a laptop worth P20,000.
Prior to that, the Roxas City Component Police Station also logged a highway heist that saw the bandits taking off with around P1.5 million cash.
