BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here reported another case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among its personnel, bringing the total to 46 cases as of April 5.
This was confirmed Monday by Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo’s deputy information officer.
Donasco said the non-commissioned police officer underwent a swab test on April 2, and the results later released that day showed that he tested positive of the virus.
Donasco said the COVID-infected cop is assigned in a police station at the central part of the province.
He’s asymptomatic and was already transferred to a quarantine facility, she added.
At present, Nocppo has three active cases.
Donasco said the recent case is a local case.
