Another man was found dead in Dumangas, Iloilo morning of June 30.
The discovery of the body of Alan Jay Adorador, 32, of Barangay Binabaan, Lambunao, Iloilo, came two days after a former seaman was also found dead in Dumangas town.
Florentino Flores, 40, a farmer, residing in Barangay Pulao, found the victim’s body at around 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
He was lying inside the nipa hut owned by Dominador Gelvero. He was drenched in blood from a stab wound below his chest.
The victim was reportedly working for his uncle by planting vegetables and growing catfish.
Adorador was last seen alive at around 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
It was believed that the victim was sleeping when he was attacked.
A neighbor claimed that they heard a dog bark around 10:30 p.m.
They then heard a scream in the victim’s location.
Neighbors described Adorador to be a good and friendly person.
He had no known enemy but figured in a misunderstanding several months ago after a mentally-challenged man destroyed his uncle’s hut.
But the case was immediately settled.
Meanwhile, there were earlier reports that a suspect was arrested in Igbaras town but the police claimed it was false.
