It was believed that Soledad died instantly due to three gunshot wounds on the head, three on his body, and one on his left arm.
Authorities rushed the victim to Metro Iloilo Hospital in Jaro district, Iloilo City where he was declared dead on arrival.
According to Police Captain Roy Tayona, Leganes police chief, the victim came from the Iloilo Provincial Jail in Pototan town to attend to some requisites regarding his plea bargaining agreement.
