Amiable Angel Alan Celino marked another milestone with a lively dinner party at his grand mansion.
“Yorme” Alan, as he is fondly called by close friends, made his mark as a beloved former mayor of Roxas City, earning praise as a dedicated civic leader and philanthropist.
Now long retired from politics, he devotes his time to his family—alongside his ever-supportive wife, Sarah Lupera-Celino—and to his successful business ventures and favorite sport as a multi-awarded golf enthusiast.
The night kicked off with a lavish buffet spread that included spicy shrimp cocktail with guacamole salad, mini paellas, Caesar salad, beef tenderloin roast, skewered lamb sausage, roasted salmon, crème brûlée, salted caramel cheesecake, warm brandy-soaked bread pudding—and, of course, everyone’s favorite: crispy lechon.
As impeccable wines and signature beverages flowed, music from Iloilo’s popular Totong Villaruz and his band filled the air.
The celebrator and his guests danced and sang along to disco classics like “I Love the Nightlife” and “I Will Survive,” turning the floor into one throbbing, joyous crowd.
“I am thankful to the Almighty for the fortune He gave me, as well as the misfortunes, because now, the next chapter begins,” Alan said in his birthday message after blowing out the candle on his golf-themed birthday cake.
“I am truly happy and blessed to have so many friends. The haiku I wrote in the invitation says: ‘No matter what the mirror tells me, it took me years to age to perfection. I asked those that meant something to me, to party with me as I celebrate a splendiferous life.’”
And cheers to that, our dear Yorme Alan—God bless!
