Anderson Silva is still knocking people out, this time inside the boxing ring.
In a wild day of boxing during the Triller Fight Club event, former Ultimate Fighting Championship legend Anderson Silva flaunted his skills against co-UFC veteran Tito Ortiz as the co-main event of the Evander Holyfield-Vitor Belfort match.
It was a great sight for Mixed Martial Arts fans during the late 1990s to the early 2000s as their idols graced the boxing ring that provided nostalgia among the viewers in Florida.
Both MMA greats immediately traded shots as soon as the bell rang.
Ortiz displayed his usual aggressiveness as he hounded Silva with intense pressure and finally had the chance to pin him in the corner.
With Silva pinned, Ortiz began to throw a barrage of punches that put the crowd to its feet as the action heated up.
The crafty Silva then pulled off a wonderful counter move that reversed the situation. Silva unleashed a well-timed right hook that cleanly connected to Ortiz’s head as he faded to his left.
With just one punch, Silva already finished the fight and scored a vicious knockout victory over the tough Ortiz.
This is already Silva’s second straight win in boxing after defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. last June via a split-decision victory.
