Right after Dominance MMA’s promise of sending their best fighters to ONE Fighting Championship as part of their partnership deal, Dominance heavyweight champion Amir Aliakbari already had his sights on the biggest name.
The decorated Greco-Roman wrestler wants no one else but Brandon Vera in only his ONE FC debut, claiming that he can defeat and “smash” Vera in their matchup.
“I ask ONE to give me Brandon and I promise to smash him brutally,” said Dominance MMA’s champion.
Holding a record of 10-1 in his MMA career, the Iranian champion has been wrecking all his opponents in Dominance and having a shot against Vera will prove that he is one of the best to ever set foot in the ring.
“I only want one fight and that’s Brandon Vera. This is the fight to make. None of these heavyweights can last in the cage or ring with me, including Brandon,” added Aliakbari.
However, Vera is still preparing for his upcoming fight against ONE’s number one contender in the heavyweight division, Arhan Bhullar.
Even though Vera is still up against a handful of challengers under ONE’s lineup, Aliakbari said that he only wished Vera, no one else.
“After doing so, I want to raise the ONE championship flag high and challenge other promotions’ heavyweights to step up and see who the real baddest man on the planet is,” Aliakbari mulled.
