A 22-year-old man believed to be a member of the Communist Party of the Philippines- New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) surrendered on April 28, 2021 in Sibalom, Antique.
Alias “Toto” claimed to be the Team Leader of a unit under the Central Front Committee (CFC) of the Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay (KR-P) based in Tapaz, Capiz for six years.
“Toto” surrendered to the authorities of Sibalom Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit under the Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Provincial Intelligence Unit of Antique PPO, Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company, 61st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army and 31st Military Intelligence Company.
His brother, who is also a rebel, persuaded him to yield.
