BACOLOD City – A man who allegedly took over the alleged illegal drug activity of his son was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Purok Magti-ayon, Barangay 10 here last Wednesday.
The subject was identified as Rodolfo Vego Jr., 44, of the said village.
Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said that Vego is an alleged high-value individual who was placed under monitoring for three months.
Confiscated from him were 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, and the P500 marked money.
Pastrana said Vego was allegedly caught repacking illegal drugs when police busted him at his house.
It was the police station’s first drug bust operation this year, according to Pastrana.
Pastrana said that Vego’s son was arrested for a drug offense last year.
He said they are verifying the information from Vego that he allegedly sourced the illegal drugs from Barangay Banago here.
