ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ – A purported squad leader of Kilusang Larangan Guerilla Unit (KLGU) of the New People’s Army (NPA) operating in Tarlac and Zambales (TARZAM) under the leadership of Oliver Milo alias Ka Res surrendered to Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) Wednesday morning, July 5.
Alias Ka Brix, 53, and native of Brgy. Lantangan Pontevedra, Capiz turned himself in to PCol Jerome Afuyog Jr., Capiz police provincial commander, around 9:30 am after negotiations with authorities.
He also surrendered a caliber .38 revolver with 3 live bullets and a caliber .22 rifle with 5 live ammunition.
According to police investigation, the surrenderer joined the NPA from 2009 to 2013. He was also the leader of one team with seven personnel operating in Tarlac and Zambales.
He is presently in the custody of Pontevedra PNP for custodial debriefing.
Pontevedra Mayor Henry Tumlos has pledged that the local government unit of Pontevedra will give him a livelihood.
