An alleged drug peddler from Jaro, Iloilo City was arrested in a police anti-illegal drugs operation in Dumangas, Iloilo afternoon of February 26, 2021.
Linabel Lim, 32, of Barangay Simon Ledesma, Jaro, allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for PHP1,100 to a police poseur-buyer.
A police asset initially reached out to her and both agreed to complete the trade at Barangay Bantud Pabrica, Dumangas.
Members of Dumangas Police Station, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, and the Regional Maritime Unit seized from Lim five more sachets of suspected shabu valued at PHP60,000.
Major Joven Arevalo, Dumangas police chief, said they have been monitoring Lim a few weeks back after she tried to vend shabu to another drug surrenderer.
“She said she would just drop it off on her way to pick up her shabu supply at the Dumangas wharf,” Arevalo said.
Lim had no prior arrest, but she admitted that a brother was arrested for the same offense.
She is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
