Alleged drug group member nabbed in police bust

SIGMA, Capiz – An alleged member of the Cebu-based Nepumoceno Drug Group and one of the police’s high value target personalities was arrested Tuesday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Dayhagon, Sigma, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Filmar Arroyo, 34, of Barangay Amaga, Sigma.
Recovered from Arroyo were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 5 grams.
Arroyo was first arrested for the same offense few years ago but he was released after a plea-bargaining agreement.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz PPO led by PMAJ Francisco Paguia and PMAJ Bryant Fallera; Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Sigma MPS under PLT Rey Jason Gimeno; Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Mambusao MPS under PMAJ Edwin Luces with the PDEA-Capiz under IA V Cornelio Espartero Jr.
Arroyo is presently detained at Sigma PNP while charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
