BACOLOD City – An alleged member of “Aki Cuadra” criminal gang was arrested by police at Puentebella Subdivision, Barangay Taculing here last Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect as Lloyd Martin Lopez, 36, of the said village, who is the eighth most wanted person of Police Station 6.
Police Major Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 6, said they validated the information allegedly linking Lopez to the said criminal gang.
Estopa said that operatives served Lopez an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and for service of sentence.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Juvy Victoriano-Dioso of Regional Trial Court Branch 49 here dated October 1, 2021.
Estopa said they will check if Lopez has other standing arrest warrants.
Arnold “Aki” Cuadra, 30, of Barangay 2, an alleged notorious rob group leader, was killed by unidentified armed men who stormed his apartment in Barangay Vista Alegre here early this year.
