BACOLOD City – Around 5,000 delegates are expected to arrive here for the 48th National Convention and Technical Conference of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) on Nov 11-12, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center here.
Apart from this, 12,000 more delegates are expected to take part in the convention virtually, according to Engr. Glia Mabag, Vice-Chair for Publicity and Promotions.
Mabag said they held the 8th coordination meeting on Nov. 2, 2022, at PICE-Negros Occidental office with PICE regional coordinator Engr. Lea Delfinado which was also attended by local committee chairpersons.
This year’s theme is “Civil Engineering and Its Specializations: Responding to Our New Normal and Foreseeing Our Future.”
As a prelude to the convention that will start on Nov 11, 2022, a golf tournament and sports tournament will be held on Nov 10.
The guest speaker during the opening ceremony is Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan.
