Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala introduced herself to grand-slam international tennis as she displayed a dominant victory against Australian Annerly Poulos, 6-1, 6-2.
It only took Eala 57 minutes to notch the win and advance to the second round of the prestigious tournament.
Eala bullied the Australian as she swung her strokes with immense power and impressive ball placing, running the opponent all over the court to receive her shots.
The dominant performance included not a single-serve dropped from the Filipina star, as she consistently served with power and confidence throughout the match.
On the other hand, Poulos committed too many errors and couldn’t break through Eala’s solid baseline rallies.
Eala will advance to the second round of the US Open Juniors.
