Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala just made her 2021 ITF World JA Milan run sweeter after clinching the singles trophy, 6-3, 6-3 against Czech Republic’s Nikola Bartunkova.
Moments after Eala and partner Madison Sieg’s hard-earned doubles championship win, Eala wanted more and dazzled the crowd in Milan to sweep the juniors’ division and bagged two titles in a row.
With experience on her side this time, the surging Eala exposed the younger Bartunkova for two straight sets.
Eala’s unmatched power in the baseline was the main difference of the match and made it hard for the opposition to set up her offensive schemes.
For 38 straight minutes, Eala punished Czech Republic’s representative who just didn’t’ have answers against the rolling Filipina.
The 16-year-old Eala then topped her performance with her flawless service game and scored several first attempt aces that registered her quick and easy points.
This is the first time that Eala won two championship trophies in the same tournament.
