In celebration of the 70th Aklan Day, the Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Aklan, will hold the third Hinuguran It Akeanon Trade Fair from April 23–30, 2026, at the Aklan Trade Hall, Capitol Grounds, Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan.
The trade fair supports this year’s Aklan Day theme, “Pagpadayon it Aton Panublion: 70 Years of Aklanon Heritage, Pride and Progress.”
The event will feature the Hinuguran Village, a curated setup designed to give visitors a festive, culture-based experience that highlights the best of the province.
Products on display will include premium piña fabric-based items, handicrafts, home decor, fashion accessories and food products made by 94 innovative Aklanon micro, small and medium enterprises.
Eight institutional buyers have been invited to attend the trade fair and visit selected production sites of Aklanon MSMEs.
The invited buyers are Rustan’s, Tesoro’s Handicrafts, Kingsmen Bespoke, Onesimus Corp., Gillette International, Joann Bitagcol, Our Handmade Heritage and EPG Enterprises.
An opening ceremony will be held on April 23 at 5 p.m. to formally launch the trade fair.
A fashion show will follow at 7 p.m. to showcase the world-renowned Aklan piña fabric through contemporary pieces designed by local fashion designers.
Hinuguran It Akeanon is the official brand for Aklan’s locally made products and highlights the ingenuity and craftsmanship of Aklanon artisans.
The trade fair is one of the province’s featured events for Aklan Day, the annual founding anniversary celebration of the province.
Aklan’s piña industry remains one of the province’s best-known cultural and economic assets, with local weavers and designers continuing to position piña cloth as a premium Philippine textile in domestic and international markets.
