After Antique, it’s the province of Aklan to get a new top cop.
Colonel Victorino Romanillos was designated as officer-in-charge of Aklan Police Provincial Office (AkPPO) effective May 16, 2023.
Romanillos succeeded Colonel Crisaleo Tolentino, who was Aklan police chief since December 2021.
A native of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Romanillos is a member of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 1995.
He has long served as chief of the Regional Police Community Relations Division.
Romanillos also served in various positions at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO).
Reports claimed that Colonel Adrian Acollador, the former Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director, will take over Romanillos’ vacated post.
Meanwhile, Tolentino will be assigned to the PNP Directorate for Operations.
Aside from Tolentino, Colonel Reynante Panay was also relieved as chief of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) and will also be reassigned to the PNP Directorate for Operations.
His deputy chief, Major Chey Chey Saulog, will temporarily take over the RID top post.
