A’ja Wilson is her.
Three days after becoming the fourth player in WNBA history to record at least 5,000 points, 2,000 rebounds, 500 assists, 500 blocks, and 300 steals, three-time Most Valuable Player A’ja Wilson added another milestone on Aug. 11, 2025.
Wilson delivered a historic performance in the Las Vegas Aces’ 94-86 victory over the Connecticut Sun, becoming the first player in league history to post at least 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game.
The win was Las Vegas’ fourth straight in two weeks, marking its longest streak of the season.
Wilson played 36 minutes in the come-from-behind effort and finished with 32 points, 20 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
She shot 13 of 25 from the field and made all six of her free throws.
The Aces leaned on Wilson after Connecticut took an early four-point lead in the first quarter and held the game to a 45-all tie at halftime.
In the second half, Wilson’s post dominance and perimeter shooting helped Las Vegas build a 12-point cushion in the third quarter.
The Aces then controlled the final period to improve to 18-14 and move into third place in the Western Conference.
“It’s kind of a shocker that it’s just now happening. It’s a blessing,” Wilson said. “I love what I do. Anytime I can come out and just play basketball the way that I love it, and the team, and we’re all getting involved — I’m happy with that.”
Before her 30-20 feat, Wilson set multiple WNBA records in the past six years, including becoming the fastest player to score 5,000 points, doing so in just 238 games.
During her 2024 MVP season, she became the first WNBA player to lead the regular season in points, rebounds, and blocks.
