Spring Fever, a new romantic comedy series starring Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-been, will premiere Jan. 5 on Prime Video with two new episodes released every Monday and Tuesday across more than 240 countries and territories.
Set in a quiet countryside village, the series follows the growing romance between Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-been), a reserved high school teacher, and Sun Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), a passionate troublemaker whose arrival disrupts the town’s peaceful rhythm.
The series is directed by Park Won-gook and written by Kim Ah-jeong.
Spring Fever marks Park’s return to heartwarming, high-stakes romance after the success of Marry My Husband.
The ensemble cast includes Cha Seo-won, Cho Jun-young, Lee Jae-in, Jin Kyung, and Bae Jung-nam.
Veteran comedic actors Kim Beong-choun, Oh Man-seok, and Jung Young-ki join the cast as well.
During the script reading, Ahn Bo-hyun fully embraced the unpredictable Jae-gyu, uncle to top student Sun Han-gyul (played by Cho Jun-young), using his natural Busan dialect to add playful energy to the scenes.
“This drama features characters with visuals unlike anything I’ve seen before,” Ahn said.
“The script was incredibly fun, and I was drawn to playing an uncle for the first time as well as using dialect.”
“I think viewers will enjoy a drama full of laughter.”
Lee Joo-been transformed into the stoic yet warmhearted Yoon Bom, impressing the cast with her portrayal of the mysterious outsider teacher.
She praised the drama’s refreshing tone and emotional core.
“The beautiful scenery, refreshing village setting, and witty humor are definite highlights,” Lee said.
“Not just Jae-gyu and Bom, but the playful chemistry between students and teachers is wonderful.”
“There’s even a hidden character later on that viewers will enjoy discovering.”
Cha Seo-won portrays Choi I-jun, a sharp lawyer caught between Bom and Jae-gyu.
Lee Jae-in plays Choi Se-jin, Han-gyul’s academic rival and self-proclaimed anti-fan whose presence adds youthful rivalry and romantic tension.
The script reading showcased strong chemistry among the cast and hinted at layered storylines that promise humor, heart, and unexpected twists throughout the season.
Spring Fever expands Prime Video’s lineup of Korean titles, joining Surely Tomorrow, The Divorce Insurance, GOOD BOY, Marry My Husband, Newtopia, and Jinny’s Kitchen 2, as well as global hits like The Summer I Turned Pretty, Reacher, Fallout, and The Boys.
Prime Video members in the Philippines can stream Spring Fever and thousands of other titles anytime for PHP 149 per month.
Episodes can be downloaded via the Prime Video app for offline viewing at no extra cost.
