Police Capt. Honey Labaro, chief of the Murcia Municipal Police Station, said initial investigation indicated the student died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A passerby discovered the victim with head and leg injuries around 5:30 a.m., and authorities later found the motorcycle inside the sugarcane field.
The victim was last seen at a restobar in Murcia with his cousin and a friend.
Police have not confirmed whether he was intoxicated when he left the establishment to reportedly fetch someone using his cousin’s motorcycle.
