Australia remains a top choice for many Filipino students drawn by internationally recognized credentials and global career options, with a multicultural campus environment that can ease adjustment for newcomers.
For students considering that path, aecc Study Abroad Consultants is bringing its aecc Global Education Fair (GEF) 2026 to Iloilo on Feb. 22 at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo.
Organizers said the fair is free and will allow Filipino students to explore study opportunities that can translate into work experience and longer-term career pathways abroad.
The Iloilo leg will feature globally recognized Australian institutions and universities, alongside representatives from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand.
“Australia offers Filipino students unique opportunities that go beyond academics. From allowing them to work and earn while studying and offering internships for gaining industry experience to providing flexible programs and clear post-study career pathways, students feel fully supported in a safe, English-speaking, and diverse environment. These distinctive features make Australia an ideal destination for global learning and future career success,” says Jun Mojica, Marketing Manager of aecc Study Abroad Consultants.
At the GEF, attendees can meet college and university representatives and get information intended to help them match programs to goals and eligibility.
Organizers said students can also learn about student visas, join expert-led seminars, and submit school applications on-the-spot.
With personalized guidance from aecc counsellors, the fair is designed to give aspiring international students practical steps to move from planning to application.
Students will also be able to explore scholarship opportunities to help make studying in Australia more accessible.
aecc said its institution partners also offer merit-based or excellence scholarships during the GEF, which can partially cover tuition and, in some cases, provide additional financial support.
“The aecc Global Education Fair is our way of guiding Filipino students toward global opportunities. We bring our institution partners, course and scholarship information, and expert advice under one roof, helping them navigate every step of studying abroad so they can confidently pursue an international future,” adds Mojica.
Australia’s post-study options are often a key consideration for international students, including pathways under the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485), which allows eligible graduates to stay in Australia temporarily after completing qualified studies.
The GEF 2026 will also be held on Feb. 21 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati, and on Feb. 28 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu.
Organizers said the final leg will be held on March 1 at the Acacia Hotel, Davao.
Exclusive giveaways will also be given on event-day, according to the announcement.
For more information and to join, organizers directed students to register through AECC Global PH’s Facebook account: www.facebook.com/AECCGlobalPh.
AECC’s published event listings for 2026 show the Iloilo fair scheduled for Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. at Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo Business Park, with similar 10 a.m. schedules listed for Makati, Cebu, and Davao.
