Almost all personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 have already been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine.
As of Dec 7, 2021, PRO-6 reported that its vaccination rate is 98.6 percent.
Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said that 89.7 percent are fully vaccinated while 8.9 percent received their first dose, leaving around 1.4 percent of 190 personnel who are yet to get their vaccine.
Solis said the number covers uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of PRO-6.
“Majority of those who have yet to get inoculated have underlying reasons. Some have just recovered from COVID and non-COVID while others were pregnant and on maternity leave,” he said.
On Monday, PNP chief General Dionardo Carlos announced that policemen who remain unvaccinated will soon be prohibited from being deployed in the field.
All over the county, there are around 900 who have not taken their jab.
They might be reassigned to “low-risk” duties.
The PNP is set to come up with a memorandum to lay down the guidelines in implementing the “No Jab, No Duty” policy among PNP personnel.
As of Dec 8, PRO-6 said it has two active COVID-19 cases in its rank. The office also recorded 1,486 recoveries and 6 deaths.
