BACOLOD CITY – A total of 95 exhibitors have signed up for the 38th Negros Trade Fair, set for September 17-22, 2024, at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.
The Association of Negros Producers (ANP), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, recently launched the event at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City.
The launch serves as a prelude to the main fair scheduled at Glorietta.
This year’s theme, “Halad” (offering), reflects the spirit of generosity and unity that defines the Negrense community.
According to ANP, the theme highlights the collective commitment to making a meaningful impact, “one offering at a time.”
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson emphasized that the trade fair is more than just a commercial event.
“It’s a celebration of the Negrense culture, heritage, and the collective strength of the Negros community,” he said.
The governor also assured the public that the 38th Negros Trade Fair will not disappoint, as the province will once again showcase the best of Negrense products, talents, and renowned cuisine in Manila.
Now in its 38th year, the Negros Trade Fair is the longest-running provincial trade fair in the Philippines.
Governor Lacson commended ANP for the highly successful staging of the 37th edition of the fair in Makati City last year.
“It was a resounding success. We surpassed last year’s sales, breaching the PHP40-million mark,” he noted.
In 2022, the six-day trade fair reported PHP39 million in total sales.
“The challenge now is to continue innovating and come up with even better products for this year’s fair,” Lacson added.
